LCM+L Stationary

Creative Direction, Graphic Design

Living Computers: Museum + Labs underwent a brand redesign in 2016, but they weren’t able to complete an update to their stationary to match their new look. After working at the museum for 3 months to better understand the organization, I embarked on this project and developed a variety of potential directions. Working with the Executive Director, I selected a creative direction and built a set of materials to meet the needs of our specific team at the museum. Part of what makes our team unique is the relationships we build; from artifact donors and museum members to teachers and students who take our field trips, we needed more than just letterhead to connect to these groups. So I incorporated a set of notecards sized to fit into standard #10 envelopes so that we could remain cost effective while continuing to build relationships one handwritten note at a time. To stay on brand, these notes included a mix of new and existing graphic elements that matched those used throughout the museum’s exhibits. The result perfectly embodies the mix of modern and vintage technology and human connection found inside Living Computers.
